BUTTER AND CHEESE
NO DEFINITE ACTION YET STATEMENT IN PARLIAMENT BY AIR MASSEY. In tho House of Representatives yesterday afternoon Air G. J. Anderson asked Air Massey if he had any further information about the cheese question. Air Massey said ho had expected an answer at tho end of last week to a cable sent to tho Imperial authorities. So far he had received no word, and on Monday he had again dispatched an urgent cable, and he was sure that this message would bring a reply in a day or two. A member: “What about the butter ? There’s been a big deal in Australia.” Mr Massey said the Governmeiu had arranged for a meeting this week ot tho representatives of tho butter producers to consider an offer made. It had been impossible for them to meet this week, hut probably they would get together next week.
