MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
LABOUR CANDIDATES. A ballot for the selection of candidates to represent Labour at tbe forthcoming City Council, Harbour Board, and Hospital and Charitable Aid Board elections was recently held by the Wellington Trades and Labour Council, and the result was announced last evening. About 3000 voting papers were issued, and the returns exceeded all expectations. ' The official candidates are as follows: Mayoralty—Mr D. McLareA. City Council —Dr. McKenzie, Messrs W. S. Bedford, C. H. Chapman, E. J. Carey, J. Dalrymple, W. Dobson, S. Gordon, W. Hampton, A, Homblow, A. H. Hindmarsh, E. Kennedy, W. C. Noot, M. J. Reardon, El. Tregear, and W. T. Young. ' Harbour Board—Messrs E. J. Carey, A. H. Hindmarsh, M. J. Reardon, E. Tregear. Hospital and Charitable Aid Board— Mesdames Donaldson, Holt, and D. McLaren; Dr. McKenzie, Messrs W. 8. Bedford, C. H. Chapman, E. J. Carey, W. Dobson, A. H. Hindmarsh, -W. Hampton, D. McLaren,' W. C. Noot, L. M. A. Reardon, and M, J. Reardon. The candidates will commence addressing the electors almost immediately. •
