“GREAT ADVANCE IN METHODISM IN DOMINION.’ - ' (Received February 26, 0.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 25. The Rev. Carruthers has been elected president of the Methodist Conference. The Rev. Youngman, speaking of his recent visit to New Zealand in connection with the inauguration of an independent conference and the consummation of the Methodist Union, said that no one realised the importance of the step taken, but he was perfectly confident that the union would mean a great advancement in Methodism in the Dominion.
