A LIBEL CASE

LEAVE TO APPEAL GRANTED. LONDON, February 24. The Privy Council has granted Mr Arnold, the Rangoon editor, leave to appeal against the sentence of twelve months passed upon him for libelling an officer nbo had boon charged with abduction. Mr Arnold was recently released, the Viceroy of India haying remitted eight months of the sentence.
