ALONE IN THE WORLD
DOWAGER EMPRESS’S LAST WORDS, (Received February 26, 10.45 p.m.) PEKIN, February 25. The Dowager Empress’s dying words have been published, as follow: “ I and my boy have been alone in the world. W© have had scarcely a friend. Now I must leave him. How shall my spirit find rest in the next world ? What face shall 1 possess when I rejoin my ancestors ? The last Empress ruined the dynasty.”
