STRIKE THREATENED
ON MIDLAND RAILWAY OF ENGLAND. LONDON, February 23. A strike is threatened on the Midland Railway. Sectional meetings hare decided to recommend executive action to secure the reinstatement of a guard named Richardson, who was dismissed for disobedience. Richardson claims that he ■trictly obeyed the regulations relating to the load a certain engine should haul. He had refused to accept his Superior's verbal instruction.
