Tna visitors were met and welcomed by memPers of tiie Invercargill Cffamoer ot Commerce and by tiie New Zealand officer, Mr Malcolm Ross. Tney boarded- a special train at Bluff, and left direct for Uuuedin, where sittings commence to-mor-row. DUNEDIN, February 24. Tho following members of the Empire Trade Commission arrived by special train from Invercargill at 10.45 p.m.: Sir E. Vincent, Sir H. Rider Haggard, Sir A. Bateman, Messrs W. Lorimer, T. Garnett, J. Tatlow (represenlting the Mother Country), and D. Campbell (Australia). Tho Hon. Mr Bow-ring (Newfoundland) has just arrived in Perth, and will probably join tho commission in about ten days. The Hon. G. Foster (Canada) is coming direct from Vancouver, and will join the commission in tho North Island. Sir Richard Solomon (South Africa) will not attend' tho sittings in New Zealand. Messrs 80. M. Gore and J. B. Gray will act as official reporters in New Zealand. _ On arrival at Bluff tho Commissioners received a wireless message from the Hon. H. D. Bell, Minister_ of Internal Affairs, and a telegraphic message from the Prime Minister. ‘ To-morrow morning the commission will open sittings at 10.80, and will take the evidence of members of tho Chamber of Commerce. The Commissioners were welcomed' here by the Hon. J. B. Sinclair, New Zealand representative on the commission. • They expect to conclude the Dunedin sittings on Friday.
