GENERAL FORECAST FOB TO-DAY. (By the Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for cool and changeable weather generally, with rain in the southern dis■triots and scattered showers in many ■other parts of the country. South-wes-terly winds, moderate to strong, are proibabie generally, with a slowly rising barometer. Pressure is unsteady, however, in the wrath, and a westerly squall area is likely to pass there soon.
