BELGIAN DEFENCE
SOCIALISTS REFUSE TO OBSERVE SECRECY. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) LONDON, February 15. A curious situation has arisen in tho Belgium Chamber of Deputies. The Premier had intended to make a special statement in Parliament regarding the defences of the country, but is unable to do so because several of the Socialist members refuse to be bound 1 to secrecy that they are expected to observe to such matters. It is understood that the statement covers the representation made by Great Britain and France that Belgium’s eastern frontier was inadequately defended.
