PEACE TREATIES
FRANCE, BRITAIN AND UNITED STATES. (Received February 24, 0,35 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 23. Speaking at the Peace banquet, President Taft, discussing the peace treaties made with France and Britain, said he was deeply disappointed at the action of the United States Senate. He said it was absurd to talk of getting into a fight with Britain over the Panama Canal tolls. America was ready to arbitrate.
