FINE OF £2O FOR ILLICIT BEERSELLING. Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 23. Harry Hunt, a man who ordinarily combines the business of hairdresser with the running of tearooms at Northcote, admitted at the Police Court yesterday morning to Mr E. C. Cutten, S.M.' that he had been running a little side-line in supplying beer on Sundays. A fortnight back ho sold beer,without having a license permitting him to do so, and Mr 11. A. Singer, who appeared for him, entered a plea of “Guilty.” Tho magistrate convicted accused and imposed a fine of £2O, and 17a costs.
