(To tho Editor “N.Z. Times.”) Sir, —The pen is mightier than tho sword. Your able sub-leaders on postal grievances bore good fruit. Is there any wonder that discontent prevails? Postal efficiency examinations are held quarterly. Ono was held in the beginning of October, 1912, and the lists of persons are announced in this month’s “Katipo”—five months after the examination Why the delay? The rank and file should not be kept in suspense for the result. The candidates are not numerous. The last postal and cadets’ examination was held about February 4th. , Do you not think that it is time for the successful ones to be notified ? Again, a definite promise is made to the Officers’ Association that penalty questions would not be asked. Despite such assurance they_ appear on this examination papers .in February, Is there any cause for discontent? We say “Yea.”—l am, etc., “NO HUMBUG.”
