W.C.T.U.

The monthly meeting of the central branch of tho W.C.T.U. was held at the YJM.CM. rooms yesterday afternoon. Mrs A. R. .Atkinson, the president, was in the ohair. There was a good attendance and a considerable amount of business was transacted. The resignation of Miss Pees, tho recording secretary, was received and accepted with regret. Miss Kirk was appointed in her place. Mrs McDonald was appointed to represent the Union at the convention to be held at Nelson.* Mrs Blamires gave a farewell address prior to her departure from Wellington.
