THE WEATHER PROSPECTS
GENERAL. FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for strong westerly winds veering to southerly in and northward of Cook Strait and south-easterlies elsewhere. Rain probable generally, but especially about Cook Strait and the east coast of the South Island, the barometer rising everywhere soon. A cool change probable soon.
