MAGISTRATE’S COURT
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20. (Before fir W. G. Riddell, S.M.) Henry GreenSeld .was fined 10s for drunkenness. CIVIL MATTERS. (Before Dr A. McArthur, 8.M.) DELIVERY OF MILK. A sum of £5 Os 4d for milk alleged to have been sold and delivered was claimed by Herbert Edmond Cook, dairyfarmer, of Makara, _ from Jaha Tarr, dairyman, of Karori. Mr D. S. Smith appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr P. W. Jackson for the defendant. Defendant counterclaimed _ for £•" damages, alleging that plaintiff had supplied him with bad milk, and had ceased the supply without notice. After hearing evidence his Warship gave judgment for plaintiff for £4 11s 7d, and costs £2 18s, and for defendant on the counterclaim for £1 10s, with 2s costs. UNDEFENDED CASES, Judgment by default was given :n the following cases: - . The Commercial Agency v. J. Whib-i ley, costs 11s; Moorhonse and Hadfield v. J. 0. and Frank O’Sullivan, £l2 and £1 3s; G. Ashworth v. W. J. S. Hayward, £4 2s 6d, and 10s; E W. Milk and Co., Ltd.,'v. E. Mo> Donald, £l3 7s 7d, and £1 10s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONS, George Rowe was ordered to pay Abbott, Oram and Co. £2O Is lOd by March 6th.
