SETTLEMENT OF PAPUA
AN" INQUIRY DEMANDED. BRISBANE, February 19. Senator Chataway, speaking at. a public meeting, demanded an inquiry as to why the settlement and development of Papua was not progressing satisfactorily. Ho said the death rate among the natives .was treble that of Australia.
