MATERNITY BONUS
.WOMAN FINED FOB FRAUD. (Received February 19, 9.45 p-m.) MELBOURNE, February 19. A married woman was fined £lO, and £8 8s costa, for obtaining the maternity bonus by a false statement and forging the name of a nurse who was alleged to have attended during confinement. This was the first-case of the kind ru Australia.
