Mies Gibson returned by last night’s express to Auckland. Mrs T. E. Taylor and Mrs Langford returned to Christchurch last night. Mr and Mrs R. Gibbs, of Timaru, left for Nelson onr Monday. They "will be in Wellington on their way home early in March. Mr Rivers Langton and Miss Langton, of Melbourne, are the guests of Mr and Mrs Walter B. Bussell, Talavora terrace. Mrs W. F. Massey will open the garden party at Mrs J. P. Luke’s residence, Hiropi street, this afternoon at 3 o’clock. A large gathering of people interested in the Young Women’s Christian Association are expected to be present. This fete will be open to the public. Visitors are asked to take the Constable street tram to the terminus. There will be stalls for sweets, fancy and useful articles. Drawingroom concerts have been arranged, at which Miss Cecil Haines, with other attractive performers, are to take part.
