COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS

Tito annual general meeting of the Wellington Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association was held in the club-rooms on Monday, 17th inst. A very satisfactory report .and balance-sheet was presented and passed. Officers for 1913 were elected as follows : President, Mr W. G. Duthie; vice-presidents Messrs A. G. Croll, A. IS. Exloy, and H. C. Tewsley were added to the list; secretary, Mr J. Coleman Penrice; hon. treasurer, Mr A, W. Vermeil: trustees, Messrs J. H. Owen, J. A. Pike, W. Clayton, C. A. Briggs; auditor, Mr C. B. Robertson; solicitors, Messrs Bell, Gully, Bell, and Myers; committee, Messrs Phrlps, Samuel, Turnbull, Witt, Kinniburgh, Hueston, G. Wilson, jr., Larkin, Croll, Henshilwood, Steele, R. Wilson, Goss, Ashbolt, Dixon, and Williams. On the motion of Mr P. W. Manton the mortuary benefit fund was placed on a more satisfactory basis. The matter of federation was discussed. Members present were strongly in favour of a New Zealand Federation, and the appointment of delegates to meet the Australian body was left in the hands of the committee.
