MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17. (Before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M.I AMUSEMENT-THEN THEFT. . GeOrgo Bowden pleaded guilty to stealing at tho Upper Hutt on Saturday, a lady’s silver watch, a silver chain, a silver match box, and other articles, of a total value of £4, the property of A. E. Pryse. It was stated, that accused had been .amusing some persons, amongst-whom was complainant, by playing a piano at the Upper Hutt Hotel. Pryee went to sleep and accused then robbed him of the articles. . A sentence of one month s imprison-’ ment was imposed. INDECENCY. John Murphy and William Kelly were each fined £5, in default fourteen days’ imprisonment, for - committing grossly indecent acts at Newtown Park. “WE ABE FRIENDS.” John Smith and Joseph Horriboa pleaded . guilty to fighting in Hunter street on Saturday night.
