CONDOLENCES
THE KING MOURNS THE DEATH OF A FRIEND. (Received February 16, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. February 16. The King, in a message of condolence to Scott’s "mother, states that he knew her son intimately, and mourned the death of a friend as well as of a distinguished naval officer. The Royal Geographical Society has received the Commonwealth Parliament’s and "Westralia’s condolences.
