INDIA’S FINANCES
ROYAL COMMISSION TO INQUIRE. (Received February 14, 9.3 S p.ra.) LONDON, February 14. Mr Asquith has suggested the appointment of a commission to inquire into the organisation of the India Office, the ,use of Indian bank balances, and the maintenance of a standard currency, also how far the Government is dealing fairly between the United Kingdom and India in regard to the employment of surplus revenue.
