ASSAULT CHARGES
POLICEMEN SENT TO GAOL. LONDON, February 13. At the Old Bailey, Wetherill and Smith, police constables, were sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment, and Brooks, another constable, to four months’, for assaulting a linotype operator and his wife, who were waiting fot a tram at Uostou in the early morning.
