, PICNIC AT DAY’S BAY. The annual picnic of the Corporation stall was held yesterday at Day s Bay unaer tne nunt favourable circumstances, The weather was all that could be do sired, with the exception of a slight shower about 3 o’clock, which, however, in no way interfered with the enjoyment as the ladies' events were hold on tha wide verandah while the shower lasted. About 250 of the staff, together with their triends, had a most enjoyable day, and all seemed to enter very fully into the spirit of the outing, doing everything to make the picnic a success.
