DUNEDIN, Thursday.—Monowai (11.40 a.m.), from northern ports. Delphic (6.35 p.m.), for Timaru. The Tongariro left London last Saturday for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Timaru. She is due at Dunedin about March 26th. The Union Company received word that the collier Pukaki, which was discharging coal at Apia (Samoa), was compelled to put to sea on Saturday owing to rough weather. She put bank to the anchorage at Apia on Monday. Mr G. H. Scales has been advised by cable that the Clan Ogilvy arrived at Fremantle last Monday from Wellington. After bunkering the vessel sailed for Loudon, via Colombo and Suez Canal. The Kini, which arrived at Wellington yesterday from Greymouth, is to leave liere td-morrow for Lyttelton with remainder of cargo. . ' The Komata is now expected back at Wellington ■ to-morrow afternoon from Westport. The coastal steamer John, which arrived at Wellington late last night from Lyttelton, is to leave here at 5 p.m. toaay for Wanganui. The Haupin, which left Wellington Inst night tor Pioton. will load chali at that port for Onehunga. She is duo back here next Wednesday. The Government steamer Hiuemoa left Castlepoint yesterday, after landing stoves there, for Portland Island lighthouse. The Corinna; due at Wellington next Tuesday, will bring 18,000 boxes of butter from Onehunga for transhipment to the Corinthio. The Kaitangata is to load Admiralty coal at Westport this week for, Sydney. She will return with Newcastle coal for Dunedin and Oamaru. The Aparima cot away from Williamstown (Melbourne) on Monday last, wheatladen. for Las Palmas for orders. - Mr T. C. Sawyers joined the Kapiti as mate yesterday, in place of Mr O. Jacobsen. After discharge of her cargo of Westport coal the Whangape will proceed from Auckland to Newcastle to load for Tokomaru Bay and Napier. The Scales liner Clan Grant, which is due at Port Chalmers on Sunday, will load 5000 bales of wool there, and will afterwards come to Wellington. She Is due hero about the 25th instant. The Canterbury Company's steamer Fetone is due at Wellington on Sunday, and will sail on Monday for Picton, Najier and Gisborne. W. Cable and Co. will replace the engines in the Mangapapa at Wellington to-day, after having fitted a new bed plate and a new condenser. The vessel will probably sail on Monday for Westport and Karamea. The Napier steam trawler Nora Niven left Napier on Wednesday evening for Wellington, and was to trawl on her way down the coast. She is expected hero to-day to go on the slip. The Government training steamer Amoknra was at Ship Cove yesterday. She is duo back at Wellington to-day or tomorrow morning, and will proceed next to the Kermadee Islands in quest of castaways. The handling and discharging of Marseilles tiles is a slow and tedious operation at all times (says the “Otago Daily ‘Times”), as each tile has to be removed singly from the ship’s hold to the wharf. The discharging of the ship Yallaroi at Port Chalmers has therefore been somewhat slow by comparison with other ships discharging general cargo, but conBidoring the nature of the goods, the Yallaroi has met with very good despatch in the discharge of her cargo for railage. She will subsequently proceed to Lyttelton for final discharge. ULIMAROA FOR SYDNEY. The Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa is due at Wellington early this morning from Melbourne and Hobart, via south, and will berth at No. 1 north (outer tee) Queen's wharf. A fine-weather passage was experienced from Melbourne to Bluff. The vessel is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Sydney direct. MATATUA DUE WEDNESDAY. The local agents for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have been advised that the Matatua (from London) is to leave Auckland to-day for Gisborne and Wellington. The vessel is now expected to arrive at Wellington next Wednesday. THE ARAWA REPORTED. A Press Association message reports that the Shaw-Savill steamer Arawa arrived at Hobart on Wednesday en route from London to Wellington.
