An endeavour is being made.by.Mt E. M. Woolley, of the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association staff, to form a New Zealand branch of the In: stitute of Certificated Grocers which was incorporated in England in 1909. The object of the institute is to units all bona fide members of the grocery, provision, and allied trades for tbs promotion of their usefulness, efficiency and reputation, and to further the practical and technical education of the young men of the trade. The annual report of the Home institute shows a membership of 838. The annual report ■ states that the third annual meeting was held at Piccadilly Circus, London, on September 25th. The chair was taken at the third annual dinner at the Trocadero Restaurant, London, by Sir James CrichtonBrowne, M.D.. and among those present were Sir W. H. Lever, Bart., and Mr T. P. O’Connor, M.P.
