Press 1 Association. PALAIEESTON, February 12. Gordon McEwen, clerk of works employed on a building at Foxton, was found drowned this morning in the Alanawatu river. He was single, and had no relations in the Dominion. His age was about fifty years. CHRISTCHURCH, February 12. Robert George Scott, a commercial traveller, aged thirty-two, residing at Sydenham, shot himself with a gun yesterday. , He had been unwell for some weeks. A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned.
