ELOPING VICAR
APPLIED FOR REDUCED FARES TO NEW ZEALAND. (Received February 12, 2.56 p.in.) LONDON, February 12. Knight, tho vicar of Hunslet, who eloped with Miss Grimes, and is said to have gone to Australia, wrote to tho Hon. Thomas Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, applying for reduced passages to Now Zealand, bub the request was refused, as no evidence of farming experience was produced.
