The Kaiser unexpectedly addressed tho crowd at the University Centenary celebration and delivered a fiery panegyric of German military virtues. He said that Prussia’s renaissance was the act of God. The present generation was inclined to be materialistic, and showed less capacity for what was transcendental. The people might well learn how to get hack their fathers’ faith. God was with tho Germans before, and he would be with them now.
