TAX ON CHEMISTS’ GOODS
SUSPENSION OF THE ACT. BUENOS AYRES, February 9. The chemists have reopened their shops, following the suspension of the Act. A commission has been appointed to consider modifications in the measure. Chemists throughout Argentina closed their premises as a protest against the onerous tax on pharmaceutical preparations and perfumes. Hairdressers and other tradesmen supported the movement.
