Mr J. C, Barnett has joined the Pateoua as chief officer. The Arapawa left Westport yesterday for Wanganui, from which port she is duo at Wellington next Thursday. The barexuentine Wanganui, which arrived at Wanganui last week from Newcastle, sighted Farewell Spit when eight and a half days out. The Canterbury Company's steamer Breeze was delayed at Lyttelton on Saturday. She will arrive at Wellington this morning, and will sail at noon to-day for Wanganui. The Government steamer Hinemoa is to leave Wellington about 6 o’clock this evening on her round trip to the northern lighthouses. The Government training ship Araokura left Pioton at 10 a.m. yesterday for Ship Cove. The vessel, is due back at Wellington about next Friday, and will sail on the following Thursday direct for tho ICermadeo Islands. The Amokura goes from the islands to Auckland. Bannutyne and Co. advise that the Hakiura, which is due at Wellington this evening from Greymouth. will probably sail to-morrow for Greymouth and Hokitika. . ■ It is reported that Captain J. Mann Hart, late of the Star of Canada, will probably he given command of the now Tyser boat Star of Victoria, now being completed at Belfast. The Maoriland Companys steamer Holmdale left Oamaru on Saturday night for Greymouth to load for Lyttelton, The Rarawa is due at Wellington on the sth of next month to undergo cleaning and painting on the patent slip. Dalgety and Co. advise that tho coastal steamer ’ Mangapapa, which ban been undergoing repairs and alterations at Wellington, is to leave her© on Friday tor Westport and Karamoa. Ti;e Westmeath is to leave Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin with remainder of cargo from Livercoastal steamer John is duo at Wellington on Thursday from Lyttelton, and wul sail on the same day for Wanganui. Tho Kini is to leave Greymouth this evening for Wellington and Lyttelton. Tho Aparima was to have left Williamstown (Melbourne) yesterday-'ibr the United Kingdom or the Continent, via Durban. Tho Union Company's turret-deck steamer Koromiko left, Newcastle at 11 o'clock on Saturday night for Wellington. She is due here about Friday. Shortage of railway trucks is delaying discharge of the Komata and Koonya at Wellington. The vessels are expected to get away to-day for Westport and Greymouth respectively. The Flora is to leave Westport, at, ppon to-day for Lyttelton. " \ Tho Poherua is now not expected to arrive at Wellington from Southern porta before this afternoon. She will leave hero to-night for New Plymouth and West Coast ports. Ac the Mararoa is to leave Wellington at 8 o’clock this morning on an excur- 1 bion to Ship Cove, she will not ship any cargo tor Lyttelton to-day. The Monowai will take all cargo , Bering lor Lyttelton to-day. The Mararoa is due back at Wellington a little after 6 o'clock this evening, and is to sail at 8 p.m. as usual for Lyttelton. ‘ MORAYSHIRE DUE SATURDAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Morayshire. now discharging cargo, from ; Liverpool at Auckland, is to leave the northern port tomorrow for Wellington. She is due here on Friday evening or Saturday morning. TYRONE DUE MONDAY. The New Zealand and African Steamship Co. advise that the Tyrone (from Liverpool), now discharging at Auckland, is to leave there on Friday next for Welling ton, where she is duo next Monday morning. Scales has received advice that the Scales liner Clan Grant left Port Pirie last Saturday morning for Otago Heads for orders. The vessel is due off Otago next Sunday. She is to load in Now Zealand for London. CAPE FINISTEREE DUE SATURDAY. Tho Cape Finisterro now discharging case oils at Napier from New York, is duo at Wellington on next Saturday. Tho vessel brought altogether 165,000 cases, comprising 425,000 gallons of petroleum, 667,000 gallons of benzine, 542 gallons of naphtha, and 14,000 gallons of turpentine. Tho vessel will distribute her cargo (part of which was put out at Auckland) at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru. and Dunedin. BUAHINE LEFT CAPETOWN. Last Saturday the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Rnahine left Capetown for Hobart and Wellington in coninuation of her voyage from London and Plymouth. Sho is due here on March 3rd.
