McGregor 89, D. MoCalmont 88. B. Smith 87, H. R. King 87, 11. Mawley S 3. X branch of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society has been forihed at Carterton with a membership of 113. There aro seven cases of fever under treatment at the Masterton Hospital. A nine-roomed house in Walton avenue, Masterton, owned and occupied by Mr 11. Harding, was burned to the ground tliis morning. The building was insured for £460, and tho furniture for £2oo._^ Tn a tennis match at Mangapokeha~bn Saturday afternoon, Masterton defeated tho local club by 8 games to 4.
