BOWLING
From a bowler's point of view the Weather was perfect on Saturday afternoon, being sunny and warm with a much appreciated absence of wind. After the spell of dry weather the greens were very fast, thus giving the expert a chance of being seen at his best. Needless to say there was a very big turnout of players, the many greens in and around Wellington being fully manned. The chief attraction was the Senior Pennant competition, which was resumed after a long interval, and this gave rise to some keen and interesting games, although the results were for the most part anticipated. A number of friendly inter-club games also took place. Results wore as follow: NEWTOWN v. THORNDON. (At Newtown.)
