THE CRUISER PSYCHE

ALLEGED SPRINGING OF A LEAK. HOBART, February 7. Referring to the alleged springing of a leak by the third-class cruiser Psyche, the Admiral commanding the station explains that a slight defect in the Psyche was rectified by the' ship’s staff. The reason the Psyche and the Cambrian are proceeding to Sydney is in order to have sufficient ships there to form a court-martial which it is necessary to hold. Tho Psyche is sailing on the 12th inst. It was reported a foV days ago that the Psyche, which was recently docked and overhauled, had boen recalled from Hobart. It was stated that she sprang a leak and needed docking. The Cambrian was convoying her.
