Some weeks will elapse before the work of renovating the old post office building is completed, and present indications are that the various rooms now in course of transformation will not be ready for occupation till the end of March. The contractors (Messrs J. and A. Wilson) have been subjected to various delays. Wiring for the electric light is now being installed by the Public Works Department, and a largo amount of painting and distempering remains to be done. There will he two eectric lifts in the old building, one runs the height of the structure, and the other will work from the ground floor to the basement, in connection with tho parcels office.
