MISHAP TO;, KAPUNI. A mishap occurred to the Kapuni on Tuesday morning at Patea (says the “Press' 3 ) as she was going down the river to proceed -to W elliagton . with a full cargo of cheese. When nearing the railway viaduct she was warned that there was not sufficient water on the bar to warrant her attempting the passage. Captain Mclntosh thereupon endeavoured to turn her round with a view to a return being made to the wharf. Whilst in the act of turning she touched on a mud flat and . was soon . hard , aground. The owners had been making special efforts to get their boats away on timo, most of the loading of the Kapuni having been carried out hy men at overtime pay of 3s 4d per hour. The boat sustained no damage through her accident. . BUTESHIRE CUMING.
