DEATH OF CONSTABLE DOYLE
Press Association. PALMERSTON, February 5. Constable Doyle, who was admitted to the Palmerston Hospital on Monday, suffering from a broken leg and facial abrasions, the result of an assault made upon him at Shannon last Saturday, died at 6.50 this morning. Deceased was not altogether a strong man, and h© was on sick leave for a time last September, Ho was about thirtyfive years of age, and married. Ho leaves a widow and two children, who reside in Auckland, A man named McDonald was arrested on Monday, and remanded yesterday for a week.
