MOTOR BANDITS

TRIAL IN PARIS A REMARKABLE SCENE IN COURT. By Telegraph—Free* Association —Copyright (Received February 4, 11-55 p.m.) PARIS, February 4. In connection with the trial of the motor bandits, a queue waited all night for the trial to begin. Front seats sold for six pounds each. The prisoners were handcuffed and fastened, Republican guards sitting on either side. Each of the prisoners had an air of respectability which was noteworthy. A great glass case was in the Court containing revolvers, carbines, and Bonnot’s bullet-riddled mattress. The interrogation of three women has commenced, including Madame Maitrejean, accused of being the directress of the newspaper “Anarchie.” " It was cabled yesterday that many police and soldiers had assembled for the trial of twenty motor bandits charged with thirty-three murders. The trial is expected to last eighteen days. There are 301 witnesses.
