OPIUM IN CHINA
GROWING NEARLY STAMPED OUT OPIUM-SMOKERS DISFRANCHISED. (Received February 4, 1.6 am.) PEKIN, February 3. Opium-growing has been stamped out except in certain areas at Fu-kien, Honan, Shensi, Kansu, and Kangchow. Opium-smokers were disfranchised at the recent elections. All, political partes are supporting the Government.
