His sons had tried various kinds of oats for rust-resisting properties, but the weather hail been so wet that a good test could not be made, 'there had been so many failures in these experiments that it had become disheartening to take up the work. What was required was drier ground than they had in the Manawatu ristrlct. ... , The president, Mr Hoddcr, pointed out that thoy must not overlook that this was one of the leading associations in the Dominion, and when the Government tried to assist them they should join in and help the movement. The matter was subsequently referred to a subcommittee, who i\ ill go fully into it and report tc the general committee.
