The earnings of the city electric freight service for the four weeks ended January sth totalled £39 Is. Against this the expenditure totalled £4l 4s 2d. but when the value of departmental services rendered (£l7) was deducted, the service ended the month with a credit balance of £l4 10s lOd. For the forty weeks of the financial year to January sth, the freight revenue was £334 17s 6d, the total expenditure £641 16s sd, and the value of departmental services rendered £l7O. Thus the period ended with a debit balance of £136 18s lid. To date the freight car has run about 15,000 miles.
