LOSS BY FIRE IN DUNEDIN
SUPERINTENDENT’S HALF-YEAR-LY REPORT. Press Association. DUNEDIN, February 1. Superintendent Napier reports that, for the sis months ended December 31st there were thirty-sis fires in buildings, and tho insurances on the property affected totalled £143,800. Tho loss, however, to tho insurance companies was only £9380. The value of the uninsured property was £23,545, while the loss only totalled £176. Tho heaviest individual loss was that of Findlay and Co., £5200._ To date ■■■■'• been eighty-nine calls, of n in— ... v,vo were to serious fires.
