The month just closed was a. record January for the Wellington Customs, and the return was only .£66 Xls 5d less than the best month on record—August, 1307. The Customs revenue and beer duty collected at Wellington during January, 1913, totalled respectively .£96,827 2s 4d and .£1207 16s 7d. at. against .£84,830 14s 3d and .£990 11s 10d in January. 1912.
