The statements that the wounded at Chataldeja are being brought to Constantinople is confirmed by a telegram to “ Lo Matin.” Officers, supporters of Nazim Pasha, fought the Young Turks. Forty-two officers were killed and altogether 170 wounded. The Circassians have sworn to avenge Nazim’s death. . Thousands of transport animals at Chataldeja are dead or ill. The roads are impassable owing to the rains. The “Daily Chronicle’s ’’ Constantinople correspondent states that it is estimated that 20 per cent, of the army is favourable to the Government.
