Mrs Pryde, wife of Captain Pryde, is staying at the Hotel Windsor. Mrs Walter Knowles loaves on an extended visit to Auckland and Rotorua to-day. Miss Vida Reynolds (Dunedin) is the guest of her sister. Miss Maude Reynolds, Wellington terrace. Lloyd, who have been visiting Mrs Mcstayer, left by the Maungauui yesterday for England, via Sydney. The Countess of Liverpool has consented to become the patroness of the New Zealand branch, of the Girls' Friendly Society. Mr and Airs Fowler (Nelson), Mr and Mrs C. de Lautour (Auckland), Mr and Mrs Ewett, from the South, are staying at the Empire Hotel. Wellington is very full of visitors just now and the hotel registers show a constant stream of overseas tourists from Europe and the Commonwealth. The reception to he given by the Wellington Club to his Excellency the Governor and .the Countess of Liverpool takes place on Tuesday next. Boden, Wellington, to Mr Dugald Stewart, youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs D. Stewart, of Glasgow, Scotland. Arrangements are being completed for tho successful carrying out of the garden fete in aid of the funds of the Sodet yfor tho Health of Women and Children.
