ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
MEETING OP WELLINGTON CENTRE. A meeting of the St. John Ambulance Wellington centre's committee was held last evening. Mr C. P. Powles presidng. The.St. John Ambulance Brigade wrote pointing out that it thought it should have a representative on the committee of the association. The chairman said that the matter was entirely one for the attention of the association, which elected the committee at the annual meeting. If a member representing the brigade were proposed probably he would be elected, so long as the limit of fifteen members was nor exceeded. The centre had nothing to do with the appointment. It was decided to reply to the brigade explaining the position. A letter was received from the Christchurch association stating that as the Nelson association was practically moribund, the work in that province snoum be administered from Christchurch. The committee decided to reply that the work in Blenheim and Nelson had been supervised in the past by Wellington, ana that as Wellington thought Nelson was more easily accessible from Wellington than from Christchurch, It considered the present arrangement should continue. /
