Anna Carlovna, assisted by Editah over the first part and Carolus over tho last six furlongs, ran a mile and a quarter in 2min 15seo. Autumnus beat Scottish Star over five furlongs in Imin 3Jsec. Rinaldo and Bradamato were together at the end of four fnrlongs, done in Pilgrim’s Way did six furlongs in Imin lOjscc, and Joan and Whizz were together at tho finish of four furlongs in Sljsec. Briar Patch and Veritas did a similar distance in 50sec. Zeus was better than Cherubini over four furlongs in SOscc. Mumuja, assisted by Troon over the last six furlongs, did a mile and a quarter in 2min 26*sec. Nightwatch decisively boat Winning Way over half a mile in 49iseo. Advance Guard easily beat Genius over six furlongs in Imin 20seo. Ogier beat Salzburg over four furlongs in 49|sec. and Martins beat Northern Light over five furlongs in Imin 3£seo. The Cornet beat Waikehua over a mile in Imin 47Jscc, and Empcrator, Canute, and Historiette were companions over five furlongs done in Imin 4sec, tho firstnamed going best. Sea King, over six furlongs, took Imin 20sec. Ladrone beat Golden Morn over six furlongs in Imin Gold Cup and Kilmeny were together at tho end of six furlongs in Imin 18seo. Gnome beat Parable over a mile and a quarter in 2min lolscc. Stardancer did a mile easily in Imin 454 sec, Warstep six furlongs in Imin. 17Jsec, Query seven furlongs in Imin 29sec.
After breakfast Imp boat Foam Flake over seven furlongs in Imin 32seo. Fender did five furlongs in Imin 4sec, Pleasure Bent defeated Kimona over six furlongs in Imin ISjsec, Medallist covered four furlongs in 53sec, Martian Maid was better than Owhetoroa over seven furlongs in Imin 32|sec, Scotch Melody beat Achray over six furlongs in Imin 19|sec. L. Wilson will pilot Anna Carlovna in the Midsummer Handicap.
