INCREASE IN REVENUE.

INVERCARGILL. January 30. The receipts at tho port of Bluff tor tho year ending December 31st were £26.348. of which £26,246 is classed as ordinary revenue. For 1911 tho ordicary revenue amounted to ±/24,zj0. The receipts for 1912 show an increase of nearly £2060, and is easily tho largest yearly revenue that has hitherto been recorded. Tho expenditure stands at £26,635 as against £25,54/, or about £IOB3 more than for 1911. “PSSp fund of tho beard is shown at an increase of £2217. . The shipping returns at the port for 1912 show that 403 vessels of 612,520 nett tons entered, being an increase of ninety-six vessels and 64,426 nett tons as compared with the returns for the preceding twelve months, but the increase in tho number of vessels has boon principally in small traders, ine trado of the port as computed in tons has increased to 144,418 tons, which is 3787 tons in advance of tho figures for 1911.
