Mr and Mrs John Roberts have returned to Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Robertson, Wanganui, are among guests at the Grand. Miss Ethel McKay, Wellington, is leaving to spend a holiday in Wanganui.
Mrs F. E. Baume and her three eons, of Auckland, returned from San Francisco by the Moana. Miss Hayward, Lower Hutt, accompanied by hoi* brother, leaves to-morrow on a visit to th& West Coast.
Miss Blennerhassett, of Wanganui* who returned from Sydney by the Moeraki, is staying at the Empire. Mrs Costello, who was the guest of Mrs C. W. Tringham while In Wellington, returned last night to Timaru. Mrs and the Misses Chapman, also Mr, Mrs and ML*s Neav'e, all of Christchurch, aio among tho guests at the Empire. Hotel.
Miss Speed, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs John Duncan, Marlborough, has returned to her home in Hobson street.
Mrs Gawith and her daughters, of iMasterton, arc expected back irom their travels in England and the Continent t>y tho K-emuera. Mrs and Miss Cuthbertson, of Nelson, who have boon visiting Mrs Menzies, are proceeding to Invercargill, where they propose making a stay of some months. Mrs P. J. Ryan and Miss Ryan returned to Napier on Wednesday, after a long holiday in Masterton, where they ft'ere the guests of Mrs M. C. O'Connell. Mr and Mrs Dryden (New Plymouth), Mr and Mrs De Renzy (Palmerston North), and Mr and Mrs Go-wing (Christchurch), are among the guests at the Occidental.
Miss Mollie Macintosh, who has been {he "raison d'etre" of many pleasant social gatherings of late, leaves to-day for Sydney, where her marriage will take place.
A meeting of the ladies' committee in connection with Hospital Saturday and Sunday will be held in the offices of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board on Monday, February 3rd, at 3 p.m. The object of tho meeting wiU be to make arrangements regarding the appointment of stations, etc., and it is hoped that all who are interested in tho matter will attend.
