OAMARU. January 29.

The annual report of the chairman of the Harbour Board discloses a record revenue received and wharfage dues were the highest in the history of the .board. This is due to the increase in tho export of grain ana potatoes. Adverse reference is made to the continuance of tho differential railway tariff which tends to keep tho iinports at a minimum. On the receipt shortly of £82,000 the balance of tho 4 per cent, consolidated loan of £215.000, tho remainder of the board’s old loans at high rates of interest will he paid off. A substantial reduction in harbour rates was announced.
